Green Route Africa
Culture-Led Content for European African Travel Discovery
A culture-led content system that gives Green Route Africa a distinct voice while supporting discovery among UK and European travel audiences.
TL;DR
A more expressive route into African travel.
CORE PROBLEM
Green Route Africa needed a digital identity that felt clearly different from Dragonfly Africa while retaining the credibility of the wider destination-management business. The client approached us to create a more contemporary, culture-led presence that would resonate with travel planners and audiences in the UK and Europe without making the two related brands feel interchangeable.
SOLUTION
Together with Out Of Office as strategy leads, we developed a differentiated content and visibility system centred on people, food, movement, place and cultural intelligence. Distinct channel roles, and narrative-led content create a recognisable Green Route Africa voice while preserving the operational confidence expected from an experienced African travel partner.
AGENCY ROLE
We defined the audience positioning and content pillars, planned the monthly content schedule and managed copywriting, creative direction, Reels, carousels, LinkedIn articles and cross-platform publishing. We refined the brand’s tone and visual consistency, supported website optimisation, monitored performance and provided ongoing strategic recommendations in partnership with Out Of Office Online.
MAIN IMPACT
The clearer, culture-led direction improved engagement quality across the brand’s main channels. From April to June 2026, LinkedIn engagement rate increased by 195%, Instagram engagement rate by 59% and LinkedIn impressions by 100%.
MEASURED IMPACT
A sharper content direction improved engagement quality.
The new direction increased LinkedIn engagement rate by 195%, Instagram engagement rate by 59% and LinkedIn impressions by 100% from April to June 2026. Facebook reach also grew by 6.6% while publishing volume reduced by approximately 40%, showing that a distinctive narrative and sharper audience relevance can make fewer pieces of content work harder.

FURTHER EVIDENCE
The differentiated positioning made the brand more engaging while reducing the amount of content required to maintain visibility. The stronger response across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook confirms that culture-led storytelling, clear platform roles and a recognisable voice can build relevance more efficiently than generic destination promotion.
OUR APPROACH
A distinct voice for a distinct market.
We first clarified how Green Route Africa should differ strategically from its related brand, then developed a more expressive marketing strategy around European audience interests. Platform roles, content pillars, copywriting, creative direction and social media content were planned as one system.
KEY FINDINGS
What made the new direction more distinctive.
These findings show what TeamTony learned about differentiating related travel brands and why a more culture-led narrative resonated with UK and European audiences.
01
Shared expertise does not require shared personality
Related brands can draw from the same operational knowledge while using different narratives, visual cues and audience priorities to remain distinct.
02
Culture gives destinations meaning
People, food, movement and local character help audiences imagine the feeling of a journey, making destination content more memorable than scenery alone.
03
Lower volume can still increase reach
Stronger relevance can outperform publishing frequency. A sharper idea, better timing and clearer audience fit can make fewer content pieces work harder.
04
Distinct positioning improves discoverability
A recognisable point of view helps both users and search systems understand what makes a travel brand different, strengthening long-term authority around specific themes.
