A Film Portfolio Built to Support Pitches and New Opportunities

A focused directing portfolio designed to showcase Kyle Lewis’ body of work and support pitching for new opportunities.

TL;DR

A directing portfolio designed to let the work lead.

CORE PROBLEM

Kyle Lewis needed a professional online portfolio that could present his directing work with greater clarity, strengthen his industry positioning and support introductions and pitches for new opportunities. The existing need was not for a content-heavy agency website, but for a focused platform that would let producers, agencies and prospective clients assess the strongest films quickly.

SOLUTION

TeamTony created a responsive film-director portfolio that allows the work to lead. Clear project organisation, embedded video, concise positioning, custom mobile layouts, search-ready foundations and a direct enquiry pathway make the portfolio easier to review, discover and use during professional pitching and business-development conversations.

AGENCY ROLE

TeamTony defined the portfolio strategy and information architecture, refined Kyle’s positioning and supporting copy, organised the selected commercial, music-video and short-film projects, and designed and developed the responsive Wix website. We created custom mobile layouts, integrated the available video platforms, established SEO foundations and built a clear route for professional enquiries in collaboration with Out Of Office Online.

MAIN IMPACT

The portfolio has gained stronger visibility across search and social while giving Kyle a professional asset he is confident using. Comparing the first two reliable 90-day GA4 periods, total users increased by 23%, sessions by 12%, Organic Social sessions by 100% and homepage Google Search impressions by 44%. Kyle described the completed website as perfect and said he was beyond happy with the result.

FURTHER EVIDENCE

Kyle described the completed website as perfect and said he was beyond happy with the result. The combined growth in search impressions, social sessions and direct engagement shows that disciplined curation and a restrained interface can make a creative portfolio easier to discover while keeping attention firmly on the films.

OUR APPROACH

Letting the films lead.

We defined the portfolio strategy around how producers, agencies and prospective clients assess directing talent. Brand strategy and restrained brand design supported the films without competing with them. TeamTony then organised the selected work, refined the supporting copy and built a responsive Wix portfolio website with video integrations, custom mobile layouts, a clear enquiry route and search-ready foundations.

KEY FINDINGS

What makes the portfolio work harder.

These findings capture what TeamTony learned about how creative portfolios are assessed and why reducing friction matters more than adding content.

01

The strongest work should appear first

Industry decision-makers often evaluate quickly. Leading with the most relevant films shortens the route to a confident first impression.

02

Context should support, not compete

Concise project information helps viewers understand the director’s role without distracting from the films themselves.

03

Mobile viewing is part of pitching

Creative work is frequently shared through messages and email. Custom mobile layouts ensure the portfolio remains usable wherever the introduction begins.

04

Discovery and credibility reinforce each other

Stronger search impressions and social sessions increase the number of people who encounter the portfolio, while disciplined presentation helps convert that attention into professional credibility.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

A portfolio that felt right at final review.

The website is perfect. I am beyond happy with the finished result.
