Out Of Office Online
TL;DR
A strategy-led consultancy needed a website built the same way.
INDUSTRY
Digital strategy and growth consultancy
REQUIREMENT
Out Of Office Online had evolved from a multi-service agency into a strategy-led digital consultancy, but its previous website still reflected an earlier structure. The new platform needed to express one connected proposition, make the Growth Cycle and specialist implementation model easy to understand, and give the business a flexible digital foundation that could evolve with the consultancy.
SOLUTION
Through AI-Native Web Design and Development, TeamTony rebuilt the site as a headless Astro experience connected to Wix Managed Headless and Wix CMS. A modular frontend, CMS-driven content, responsive interaction system and SEO & AI foundations created a platform that preserves the brand experience while becoming easier to evolve, optimise and extend.
AGENCY ROLE
Working closely with Out Of Office, TeamTony translated the new consultancy model into information architecture, UX and UI, responsive frontend development, CMS architecture, interactions, QA, technical SEO and optimisation for AI-driven search. The build used an AI-first development workflow to accelerate iteration, testing and documentation while keeping strategy, design judgement, and final quality control human-led.
MAIN IMPACT
The new platform now presents Out Of Office around business problems, one connected Growth Cycle, specialist implementation and a clear Needs Assessment conversion path. It replaces the previous multi-division architecture with a more focused consultancy experience and establishes a modular headless foundation for faster ongoing development. Post-launch performance measurement is now being established.
SERVICES
MEASURED IMPACT
A new digital foundation for the next stage of Out Of Office.
The completed platform now reflects Out Of Office as a strategy-led digital consultancy rather than the previous structure. The homepage guides visitors from the business problem through the Growth Cycle and specialist implementation model to sectors, proof and a Needs Assessment.
Post-launch benchmark being established from August 2026. Comparative performance metrics are not yet available.
FURTHER EVIDENCE
The headless build gives the OOO team a more flexible development foundation. Content can be easily managed through the Wix CMS, while the Astro frontend supports richer interactions, modular components and faster iteration. An AI-first development workflow adds another layer of efficiency for future optimisation without replacing the strategic and creative judgement that defines the experience.
OUR APPROACH
Designing the digital consultancy model before building the frontend.
We started with the business model and customer journey rather than the technology. Out Of Office’s new positioning needed the website to explain how the consultancy works and how strategy brings business, brand and digital experience into alignment
Documented visual, content and interaction rules gave the AI-assisted workflow a consistent source of truth. That reduced generic output and helped preserve Out Of Office’s own visual language across responsive states and new components.
The homepage was reorganised around the business problem, the Align, Activate, Amplify and Maximise Growth Cycle, specialist implementation, sectors, client proof and a clear Needs Assessment as the next step.
Rather than iterating the previous Wix Studio build, TeamTony moved the frontend to Astro while retaining Wix through Managed Headless and CMS. This created more control over components, interactions and responsive behaviour without giving up structured content management.
The website content was structured into reusable CMS-driven areas for core homepage content, growth stages, offer pillars, sectors, services and reviews, allowing the experience to evolve without needing to rebuild and commit the frontend each time the consultancy changes.
An AI-first development workflow accelerated coding, refactoring, testing and responsive QA. Clear design, content and interaction rules remained the source of truth, so AI increased production speed without replacing the strategic and creative decisions behind the website.
Search structure, accessibility, mobile behaviour and conversion pathways were reviewed as part of the same build, creating one connected platform rather than treating design, development, SEO, GEO and AI Visibility as separate layers.

KEY FINDINGS
What this AI-first website build proved.
The project became a practical test of how AI-assisted development, headless architecture and strong design governance can work together, allowing speed and strategy to work together.
01
AI works best after the strategy is clear
AI accelerated the coding, iteration and QA, but the strongest decisions still came from clear positioning, information architecture, design rules and human judgement which were established before implementation.
02
Headless does not mean losing SEO, GEO and CMS control
Astro handles the frontend experience while Wix Managed Headless and Wix CMS retain SEO, GEO and structured content management and Wix business capabilities. This creates greater development freedom without giving up practical day-to-day content management.
03
A design system makes AI output more reliable
Documented visual, content and interaction rules gave the AI-assisted workflow a consistent source of truth. That reduced generic output and helped preserve Out Of Office’s own visual language across responsive states and new components.
04
Repositioning should change the site architecture
Out Of Office’s move from a multi-service agency to a strategy-led consultancy required more than new copy. The website was reorganised around business problems, the Growth Cycle, specialist implementation, sectors, proof and a clear next step.

FAQ
Questions about AI-first headless website development
The Out Of Office build combines Astro, Wix Managed Headless, Wix CMS and AI-assisted development within a human-led strategy and design process. These questions explore when this architecture makes sense and how AI can accelerate production without replacing the strategic judgement behind the website.
01
What is an AI-first website development workflow?
An AI-first workflow uses AI as an active part of coding, refactoring, testing and QA while human strategy, design direction and technical standards remain the source of truth. For Out Of Office, AI accelerated implementation but did not decide the positioning, customer journey or final experience.
02
Can you use Wix as a headless CMS with Astro?
Yes. Wix Managed Headless can provide CMS content and selected Wix business capabilities while Astro powers the frontend. This allows a team to retain Wix content management while gaining more control over frontend architecture, performance and interaction design.
03
Why would a business move from Wix Studio to a headless website?
A headless architecture can be useful when a project needs more control over frontend components, development workflows, integrations or performance than a traditional visual editor provides. It is not automatically better for every website, so the decision should follow the business and technical requirements.
04
Can AI build a website without human strategy and design?
AI can accelerate production, but speed does not replace positioning, customer understanding, information architecture or design judgement. Strong AI-assisted builds start with clear strategic and visual rules, then use AI to execute and iterate within those boundaries.
